Tacky idea leads to respectable savings

When you’re dealing with automotive fuel tanks, one wrong move and you could be in big trouble. So when one of our major customers was looking for a solution to cushioning and securing the fuel tank to the frame of a heavy-duty truck, we gave it some serious thought.

What we came up with was a rubberized liner that not only absorbed the constant impact an eighteen-wheeler generates when on the road, but by delivering the liners with an adhesive backing that allows the fuel tank straps to secure the fuel tank to the truck frame, the rubber liners delivered much more than expected. Including more than $100 thousand in annual savings for our customer.
